NSE ESM list today

Last reviewed 13 October 2026 · by Rachid Asen

Every NSE-listed stock under the Enhanced Surveillance Measure (ESM) today, Stage 1 and Stage 2, by symbol and company, from NSE's own daily files. Both exchanges together: the NSE and BSE ESM list. BSE only: the BSE ESM list.

Current NSE ESM stocks

The list is written from NSE's files each weekday night. If it does not appear, see the NSE and BSE ESM list.

Where the NSE ESM list comes from

NSE's daily regulatory-indicator file (REG_IND) has an ESM column: 1 for Stage 1, 2 for Stage 2 and 100 for not in ESM. The file for a day carries the review announced that evening.

Understanding the list

Frequently asked questions

What is the NSE ESM list?
It is the list of NSE-listed stocks under the Enhanced Surveillance Measure, a framework NSE and BSE apply to some small companies, in Stage 1 and the stricter Stage 2. This page lists them by symbol, company and stage, from NSE's own daily files.
How often is the NSE ESM list updated?
The exchanges review ESM every week and publish their files every trading day. This page is rewritten every weekday night, after NSE's files for the day are out; the date above the list says which day it shows.
Is a company on both the NSE and BSE ESM lists?
A company listed on both exchanges usually appears on both lists, and its stage can differ between them: NSE and BSE keep separate lists. The NSE and BSE ESM list on this site shows both, one row per exchange.
When does a stock leave the NSE ESM list?
At a weekly review, once it has spent at least 90 calendar days in ESM and no longer meets the Stage 1 tests. A Stage 2 stock first moves back to Stage 1. The exchange decides every exit; ESM exit rules explains how.
