NSE and BSE ESM list today
Last reviewed 13 October 2026 · by Rachid Asen
Every stock under the Enhanced Surveillance Measure on NSE and BSE, by symbol, company, exchange and stage, from the exchanges' published lists. A company on both exchanges is two rows, because its stage can differ. One exchange only: the NSE ESM list or the BSE ESM list.
Current ESM stocks
The list loads when the page opens. It is written from the exchanges' lists each weekday night. If it does not appear, try again later or sign in to see the live ESM list.
Where the official lists come from
- NSE ESM list: NSE's daily regulatory-indicator file (REG_IND) has an ESM column: 1 for Stage 1, 2 for Stage 2 and 100 for not in ESM. The file for a day carries the review announced that evening.
- BSE ESM list: BSE's REG_IND file has the same ESM column, and BSE's daily ESM notices list entries and stage moves (Annexure I) and exits (Annexure II).
What signing in adds
With a free account:
- Fundamentals: descriptive figures from each company's filed financials. They describe; they are not buy or sell signals.
- The ASM list: NSE and BSE stocks under long-term and short-term ASM.
- Exit accuracy: how often the site's calculated exit dates matched the exits NSE and BSE then published.
In the research view (on request, for researchers):
- Exit-eligibility dates: earliest exit, days left and, for Stage 2, the earliest step-down to Stage 1 (see ESM exit rules).
- Exits: stocks that left ESM in the last 30 days, or have an announced exit.
- Context columns: recent price changes, the current price band and trading status (such as call auction).
- Filters and export: filter by exchange and stage, and export the filtered rows as a watchlist.
How often it is updated
The list above and the signed-in lists are rewritten on weekday nights, after the exchanges publish their end-of-day files (in the evening, IST). Prices and scores are end-of-day snapshots, not live quotes. Data may be delayed or inaccurate; check with the exchange before acting on anything.
Other surveillance measures
For ASM, see the ASM stocks list, names only; ASM stocks this week is a work in progress. Read what ASM is and how ASM, ESM and GSM differ.
